Day 01: Arrival and Exploration

Your expedition begins with a pick-up from Cusco Airport. The first stop is the beautiful town of Huarocondo, where you’ll visit a colonial church featuring exquisite artwork from the Cusco school, dating back to the 18th century. You’ll also have the chance to interact with the local Quechua people, gaining insights into their traditional way of life.

Next, we will continue to the archaeological site of Zurite, known for its extensive Inca terraces. Here, you will see how Peruvian agricultural engineers are preserving ancient Inca seeds like potatoes, quinoa, and corn. An Inca Shaman will perform a mystical ceremony to welcome you to the land of the Incas, complete with songs and prayers in the Quechua language, this special offering will be made to the mountain gods (Apus) such as Salkantay, Chicon, Veronica, and Pitusiray. After this incredible experience, we will transfer you to your comfortable hotel in the Sacred Valley for the night.

Day 02: Sacred Valley Exploration

After breakfast at your Sacred Valley hotel, prepare for a day exploring the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our journey begins with a visit to the salt mines of Maras, where you’ll witness the traditional method of salt harvesting that dates back to Inca times. Following this, we will drive 40 minutes to the Moray terraces, a fascinating agricultural site that demonstrates the Incas’ advanced farming techniques.

At the end of this exciting day, enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the best restaurants in the Sacred Valley. Our next stop is Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca cities, here, you will stroll through ancient Inca streets, visiting religious sites and palaces. Afterward, we will transfer you back to your hotel in the Sacred Valley for an overnight stay.

Day 03: The Majestic Machu Picchu

Today is the highlight of your trip as you visit Machu Picchu, the main attraction of Peru. Arriving in Aguas Calientes, you will take one of the early buses to Machu Picchu. This 25 minute scenic bus ride will lead you to the Inca city, where a professional tour guide will lead you through its temples, palaces, terraces, and secret passages. After a thorough tour, you will have time to relax and take final photos of Machu Picchu. Later, board the train back to Cusco City for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Cusco City Tour and Departure

On your final day, you can explore Cusco with a traditional city tour. Visit the impressive Inca temples, including Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Pucapucara, and the mysterious temple of Qenqo, which features a ceremonial table dedicated to ancestral ceremonies. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to explore the city or prepare for your flight back to Lima.
