Corporate Social Responsibility & Responsible Tourism in Cusco
At Cusco Peru Adventure, responsible tourism in Cusco is a long-term commitment. It starts with local action. We focus on education, nutrition, and direct help for rural communities in the Sacred Valley and nearby areas.
Long-Term Collaboration with Kindness In A Box
For more than 19 years, Cusco Peru Adventure has worked with the U.S.-based non-profit Kindness In A Box. Together, we have supported Quechua children and farming families in high-altitude Andean communities.
These programs have included school supplies and preschool meals. They have also supported greenhouses, food projects, and youth education. During cold seasons, families received extra help. As a result, many communities improved their daily living conditions.
Overall, this work supports education and food security through responsible tourism in Peru.
Cusco Peru Adventure’s Direct Community Commitment
Today, Cusco Peru Adventure leads local social projects directly. Our main focus is early childhood education and nutrition in rural Cusco.
We currently support a preschool in Centro Alto of Mahuaypampa, Maras. This community sits above 3,700 meters above sea level. The program serves children between 3 and 6 years old. To reduce anemia, we provide two nutritious meals each week. These meals include protein and iron-rich foods, such as fish.
In addition, we organize a yearly Christmas chocolatada. This event brings joy to children and strengthens community bonds.
Transparent and Responsible Tourism in Cusco
All projects are managed locally. Funds go directly to the community. There are no intermediaries. Therefore, support remains clear, honest, and effective. Responsible tourism in Cusco also connects travelers with local culture. For example, many guests visit these communities during our
Sacred Valley tours from Cusco.
Through responsible tourism, Cusco Peru Adventure turns travel into real support for the people who welcome our visitors.
