ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and City Tour
Upon arrival at Cusco airport, our Cusco Adventure staff will transfer you to your comfortable hotel. After settling in, enjoy a city tour where you’ll explore Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, Qenqo, and Koricancha (the Temple of the Sun). Overnight stay in Cusco.

Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour and Maras Moray
Discover the Sacred Valley, the heart of the ancient Inca civilization. Visit the charming town of Chinchero, which is built over Incan foundations. Continue to Maras to see its salt mines and then explore the archaeological site of Moray, known for its circular terraces used for crop cultivation. Our final stop is Ollantaytambo, an important Inca site showcasing monumental Pre Hispanic architecture. Overnight stay in the Sacred Valley.

Day 3: Machu Picchu
After breakfast at your Sacred Valley hotel, board a scenic train to Machu Picchu, one of the most breathtaking train journeys in the world, passing through mountain valleys, rivers, and mystical cloud forests. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you’ll be transferred by bus to Machu Picchu then meet your expert, English speaking guide for a tour of the citadel, including the Intihuatana (Sun Stone), the Sun Temple, and the Room of Three Windows. Marvel at the lush mountains that surround the ruins. In the late afternoon, return to Cusco by train and transfer to your Cusco hotel for the night.

Day 4: Free Day in Cusco
Explore Cusco at your own pace. Discover the Farmer’s Market, take a cooking class, enjoy an ATV tour in the Sacred Valley, relax with a spa day, go horseback riding, or practice yoga. Visit the city’s fascinating museums or stroll through its beautiful streets. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner in Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco to Puno
Today, board a luxury bus from Cusco to Puno, a journey known as the Route of the Sun. This scenic route combines ancient Inca archaeological sites, colonial art, and stunning natural landscapes. Enjoy panoramic views from the bus and learn about the ancient Andean world. The bus is equipped for a comfortable and safe trip, with excellent onboard service and a knowledgeable guide.

Day 6: Puno – Uros and Taquile Islands
Experience a full day tour of Lake Titicaca, starting with the floating Uros Islands, made from layers of totora reeds. Learn about local customs, explore reed homes, and ride on reed boats. Continue to Taquile Island, located 29 miles from Puno, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the lake from over 12,600 feet of elevation. Visit key sites on Taquile Island and savor a local lunch. Optionally, consider staying overnight on a nearby island to experience local culture. We’ll arrange your farewell transfer to Juliaca airport the following day.

Day 7: Puno to Juliaca Airport
On your final day, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Puno or the Urus Island for your transfer to Juliaca airport, timed according to your flight schedule to Lima.
