ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and City Tour
Upon arrival at Cusco airport, our Cusco Adventure staff will transfer you to your comfortable hotel. Later, join us for a city tour where you’ll explore Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Puka Pukara, Qenqo, and Koricancha (the Temple of the Sun). Overnight stay in Cusco.
Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour and Maras Moray
Discover the Sacred Valley, the heart of the ancient Inca Civilization. The charming town of Chinchero, built over Incan foundations, offers a glimpse into the past. Continue to Maras to see its salt mines and then visit the archaeological site of Moray, known for its circular terraces used for crop cultivation. Our final stop is Ollantaytambo, a must-see Inca archaeological site showcasing monumental Pre-Hispanic architecture. Overnight stay in the Sacred Valley.
Day 3: Machu Picchu
After breakfast, take a scenic train journey to Machu Picchu, one of the most breathtaking train rides in the world, passing through mountain valleys, rivers, high jungle, and mystical cloud forests. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you’ll be transferred to a bus for a 20-minute ride to Machu Picchu. Meet your expert, English-speaking guide for a tour of the citadel, including the Intihuatana (Sun Stone), the Sun Temple, and the Room of Three Windows. Marvel at the lush mountains that surround the ruins. In the late afternoon, return to Cusco by train and transfer to your Cusco hotel for the night.
Day 4: Free Day in Cusco and Flight to Lima
After breakfast, take the opportunity to explore Cusco’s lesser-known attractions, such as the famous San Pedro Market, the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas, or one of the city’s many fine museums. In the late afternoon, our staff will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to Cusco airport for your flight home or to your next destination.
