Machu Picchu Adventure Tours Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival and Exploration

To begin your Machu Picchu Adventure, we will pick you up from Cusco Airport or your hotel in Cusco City or the Sacred Valley, after a thorough briefing from our Cusco Peru Adventure team, we will first travel to Chinchero, there, you’ll visit the Inca weaving center and enjoy soothing coca tea, which helps with altitude sickness in Cusco (12,800 feet). Next, explore the Chinchero archaeological site.

Following this, we’ll head to the picturesque town of Maras in the Sacred Valley. Here, you can select from various exciting activities such as an ATV tour, mountain biking, paragliding, or a scenic horseback ride on Peruvian Paso Fino horses. In addition, we will visit the Maras Moray archaeological site and the ancestral Salt Mines, all while taking in the breathtaking landscapes of Cusco. At the end of the day, we will travel to Ollantaytambo, where you’ll stay overnight at your nice hotel, the next morning, you will board the Expedition Train by Peru Rail or Inca Rail for your journey to Machu Picchu town.

Day 02: Machu Picchu Exploration

On this special day, you will visit Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world. After arriving in Aguas Calientes, take one of the early buses to the Inca city. A scenic 25 minute bus ride will bring you to Machu Picchu, where a professional tour guide from Cusco Peru Adventure will lead you through the Inca temples, palaces, and agricultural terraces. Following a detailed two hour tour, you will have free time to capture your final photos of Machu Picchu.

Afterward, return to Aguas Calientes and enjoy lunch at one of the town’s charming restaurants. Finally, board the train back to Cusco City or the Sacred Valley, concluding your memorable adventure.
