INCA JUNGLE TREK to Machu Picchu – Inca Jungle Trek 4 Days/3 Nights – Biking, Rafting, Zip Line, Trekking and Machu Picchu: ITINERARY
DAY 01 CUSCO -ABRA MALAGA-SANTA MARIA
We will start the tour with the gathering our passengers from their hotel at 6:00 AM Then we start our trip with a journey of 03 hours approx. to Ollantaytambo where we will have a space for breakfast (this food is not included and is optional). Then we will continue the trip to the Cordillera del Vilcanota arriving in that way to our highest point “ABRA MALAGA” with 4316 meters is the chosen place for the beginning of the descent by bike of approx. 3 hours passing that way by different ecosystems that characterize the Andes and the jungle. This activity concludes in the town of Huamanmarca, where we will taste a buffet lunch. The trip continues until Santa Maria Overnight here in basic hostel.
DAY 02 – SANTA MARIA-THERMAL BATHS -SANTA TERESA (TREKING)
After breakfast, early as at 6:00 am we will trek in search of an unforgettable adventure. We will walk along paths full of vegetation, where we can appreciate the cultivation and harvest of coffee as well as the sacred plant of the Inkas .We will find exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple, oranges, avocado etc., medicinal plants and birds of the area.
And we will continue with the walk through segments of original Inca roads, where we will find the history of the inka road network, now stopped by time, after the energetic walk, and having breathed and breathed the purest air of the world we will reach The village Quellomayo where we will have lunch followed by a refreshing siesta. We will continue the walk to the relaxing hot springs of Cocalmayo and enjoy a relaxing bath. Finally we will continue walking for 45 minutes more for the town of Santa Teresa, where we will have dinner and spend our second night in a basic Hostel
DIA 03- SANTA TERESA – HYDROELECTRIC –AGUAS CALIENTES
The third day will start at 7:00 am with a typical breakfast in Santa Teresa and then practice the zip line. (This activity is additional and optional) This day is characterized by its pleasant climate that is tropical. After the adventure activity, our transportation will take us from Santa Teresa to the hydroelectric power plant, and people who do not do the Zip Line will walk for the valley and river of Vilcanota for about 3 hours until the hydroelectric power station whose function is also the Of being a checkpoint. In this place we will have our lunch with the whole group.
Very close to this place there is a sacred ceremonial site Inca or Intihuatana waiting for us, we will finally conclude the last section of walk that are approximately 10 km in the town of Aguas Calientes where we will go immediately to our lodging to rest and spend the night in comfortable Beds. In the evening we will share the farewell dinner with the guide at the moment in which to inform them about the plans of the following day.
DAY 04. AGUAS CALIENTES-MACHUPICCHU- CUSCO
The most important day of our trip is to get to know one of the 7 wonders of the Machupicchu world, and we have two ways to get there:
The first: is through the Inca Trail, this hike lasts 1 hour with 30 minutes of pure ascent.
The second: is by tourist bus, this short journey takes 30 minutes.
People wishing to climb the Inca Trail should leave the hostel very early at 4:30 am to reach the Inca citadel of Machupicchu very early and appreciate the sunrise.
And people wishing to climb by car will have to take the first bus at 5:30 am to arrive early to Machupicchu and be able to appreciate the sunrise which is a unique show, then we can visit the Inca citadel of Machupicchu for about 2 hours Accompanied by a specialist guide who will explain to us the historical legacy of the citadel of Machu Picchu and the complete description of this grandiose and imposing attraction.
After the excursion you will have free time to travel more places on your own, and if you have the ticket you can ascend the mountain of Huaynapicchu or the Mountain of Machupicchu, at the appropriate time you must descend from Machupicchu to Aguas Calientes by bus or be walking so that you can Lunch with tranquility and board the return train from 6:20pm or 9:50 pm to Ollantaytambo where we are waiting for our tourist transport to the city of Cusco, arriving at the Regocijo Square.
